A member of Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign team, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has described the former Assin Central Member of Parliament as the most marketable among the five aspirants contesting the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer position, insisting he is the only candidate capable of leading the party to victory in the 2028 general elections.

Nyantakyi made the remarks during a campaign visit to the Upper East Region, where he joined the team to engage party delegates and supporters of Kennedy Agyapong.

Addressing party faithful, Nyantakyi urged NPP members to rally behind Agyapong and give him the mandate to lead the party into the next general elections.

According to him, Kennedy Agyapong’s bold personality, grassroots appeal, and track record of speaking directly to the concerns of ordinary Ghanaians place him in a unique position among the current aspirants. He argued that the NPP needs a candidate who can reconnect with the base, energize floating voters, and present a credible alternative capable of reclaiming power in 2028.

“Among all the aspirants, Kennedy Agyapong is the most marketable candidate. He understands the ordinary Ghanaian, speaks their language, and has the courage to confront issues head-on. If the party wants victory in 2028, he is the man to lead that charge,” Nyantakyi stated.

He further called on delegates to look beyond personal interests and focus on the broader goal of returning the NPP to government. Nyantakyi emphasized that the upcoming flagbearer contest presents a critical opportunity for the party to reorganize and project a winning candidate to the electorate.

The New Patriotic Party is expected to hold its presidential flagbearer election on January 31, 2026, with five aspirants vying for the party’s top ticket. Campaign activities are intensifying across the country as contenders seek to win the support of delegates ahead of the crucial vote.
