The Upper East Regional branch of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) has held its second quarter meeting in Bolgatanga, with a call on members to strengthen collaboration, improve visibility, and boost the efficiency of the association’s work in the region.

The meeting took place on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Akayet Hotel. It also served as a platform to brief members on a recent visit by the national President of AGI, Pharm. Kofi Nsiah Poku, and other executives. Discussions focused on expanding membership, strengthening unity among businesses, and advancing the growth of the association in the Upper East Region.

Chairman of AGI in the Upper East Region, Clement Ayamga, described the association’s development as progressive, saying it had moved from the “storming and norming” stages to a “performing” phase.

A member of the association and CEO of Eden Security and V3 Edge, Kris Josef Akubah, urged businesses to improve financial discipline, maintain proper records, and adopt digital tools to remain competitive.

“Many businesses struggle due to poor record keeping and their inability to separate personal finances from operations,” he said.

He also encouraged members to take advantage of social media to promote their products and services, saying digital marketing has become essential for business survival.

“Businesses that fail to embrace social media risk losing relevance in today’s fast-changing business environment,” Mr. Akubah added.

Participants said the meeting provided valuable insights and expressed confidence that the knowledge shared would help strengthen their businesses and improve competitiveness in the region.
