Standard Water has officially opened a branch in the Upper East Region as part of efforts to expand access to its bottled and sachet water products while creating new business opportunities in the region.

Speaking in an interview on Bolga FM on Thursday, June 25, 2026, the company’s Communications Manager, Williams Oppong, said the expansion was driven by growing demand from customers in the Upper East Region who had difficulty accessing the brand after returning from other parts of the country.

“We have many customers from Bolgatanga and other parts of the Upper East Region who enjoy Standard Water whenever they travel to other regions. However, when they return home, they are unable to get our products. That is why we decided to bring Standard Water closer to them,” he said.

Standard Water, whose head office is located along Spintex Road in Accra, said all its products are approved by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA).

To introduce the brand to the Upper East market, the company has reduced the price of a bag of sachet water to GH¢7, compared with GH¢10 in some other parts of the country.

“We are offering our products at a reduced price because of the love we have for our customers and our desire to make quality drinking water accessible to everyone,” Mr. Oppong said.

He added that the company is also working to expand its product line to include soft drinks and other beverages, with product testing currently underway in Accra.

Sales Manager Issah Ousmar called on individuals with vehicles or motor tricycles who are interested in distributing Standard Water products to visit the company’s office at Yorogo, along the Bolgatanga–Bongo Road near the Presbyterian Eye Care Centre.

Mr. Ousmar also announced that the company is marking its 30th anniversary with a customer promotion.

“We are marking 30 years of serving Ghanaians with quality water. Customers should look out for our specially branded sachet water bags and stand a chance of winning attractive prizes,” he said.

The company said it expects its new branch in the Upper East Region to improve access to safe and affordable drinking water while creating employment and distribution opportunities for residents.
