Jonathan Abugre, a law student popularly known as Contempt, has officially filed his nomination to contest for the position of Upper East Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Accompanied by constituency executives, party supporters, friends, and well-wishers, Mr. Abugre embarked on a procession through the principal streets of Bolgatanga before submitting his endorsed nomination forms at the NPP Upper East Regional Office.
Addressing supporters after filing his nomination, the aspiring Regional Youth Organizer expressed gratitude for what he described as the overwhelming show of love and solidarity from party faithful, particularly the youth.
He said the support had strengthened his resolve to serve the youth wing of the party and contribute to rebuilding the NPP for victory in the 2028 polls.
Mr. Abugre reiterated his commitment to mobilising, empowering, and uniting the party’s grassroots across the Upper East Region, saying effective youth participation would be critical to the party’s electoral fortunes.
“I am not seeking to lead above the youth; I am ready to lead with the youth. Together, we will build a stronger, more vibrant and battle-ready youth front capable of delivering victory,” he told supporters.
His filing forms part of the NPP’s ongoing process to elect new regional executives.
