The Upper East Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salahu-Deen Musah, says the party has rebuilt its structures and is ready to confront the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) “head-to-head” in the 2028 elections.

Mr. Musah said he had never been more confident about the NPP’s prospects in the Upper East Region, citing the calibre and experience of executives elected across the party’s structures.

“I have never been confident in Upper East Region than that,” he said, describing the party as “very strong” and “very healthy.”

According to him, the party’s strength extends from the polling station and electoral area levels through the constituencies to the regional leadership.

He said the combination of professionals and long-serving party activists within the new leadership gives the NPP the human resources and organisational experience needed to rebuild its electoral fortunes in the region.

Mr. Musah said many of the executives have spent years working within the party’s structures and therefore understand the challenges the NPP faces at the grassroots and what needs to be done differently ahead of the next general election.

He argued that this experience would be critical to strengthening the party’s organisation and improving its electoral performance in 2028.

“The party is so strong-footed, the party is very strong, very healthy, the party is ready to confront the NDC head-to-head. There’s no doubt about it,” he said.

Mr. Musah maintained that the NPP’s newly elected executives have given the party a stronger organisational foundation as it begins preparations for the 2028 elections.
