Upper East Region musician and student nurse, Belinda Agona Ambama, popularly known as Queen Bae Celebrity, has opened up about the financial and emotional challenges of combining her nursing education with a career in music.

The Bongo District native says the recent death of her father has compounded her difficulties, leaving her struggling to meet her educational expenses while pursuing her passion for music.

Speaking on Bolga FM’s Tooma La Dengo Sanga, Queen Bae Celebrity disclosed that her father died about two to three months ago, leaving her and her two siblings, who are all in college, facing financial difficulties.

She explained that balancing academic responsibilities, personal needs and the financial demands of music production had become increasingly challenging following his death.

Recounting her early experiences in the music industry, the young artiste revealed that she struggled to pay for the recording of her first song at Sunjet Beatz in the Bongo District.

She said she recorded the song during a vacation while pursuing her nursing education but could not immediately afford the production cost.

According to her, it took several weeks to settle the recording fees, with the producer allowing her to make payments in instalments until she cleared the amount.

Despite the difficulties, Queen Bae Celebrity said the experience strengthened her determination to pursue music and taught her the importance of patience and perseverance.

“Sometimes you have to just endure, believe in yourself and have faith in yourself,” she said.

She noted that financial constraints remain a major obstacle for emerging musicians, particularly those who must personally fund the recording and promotion of their songs.

Queen Bae Celebrity also cautioned female artistes against allowing themselves to be exploited by individuals who promise financial assistance or opportunities to advance their music careers.

She urged young women entering the industry to exercise caution when accepting support, remain focused on their ambitions and avoid compromising their personal values in pursuit of success.

The musician encouraged aspiring female artistes to believe in their abilities and remain committed to their goals despite the financial and personal challenges they may encounter.

Although she continues to face financial pressure following her father’s death, Queen Bae Celebrity expressed optimism about building a successful music career while completing her nursing education.
