Lexis, Phatbone earn nominations for Northern Entertainment Awards 2017

Host of A1 Radio’s Drive time show, Ibrahim Aziz known widely in the showbiz industry as Lexis Drive has been nominated for this year’s Northern Entertainment Awards, entertainment presenter of the year category.

Northern-Ghana Entertainment Awards is an initiative put together by Smile Multimedia in collaboration with the various stakeholders in the entertainment, arts, tourism and culture industry to recognise and honour some distinguished personalities who have positively contributed to the steady growth of the entertainment industry in Northern Ghana.

However, Lexis Drive has to beat off stiff opposition from  Seth klipps- kesmi FM, DJ dollar-bishara FM, DJ rastee-might FM, original Isaac-wfm, king hassan-radio justice, zampriya-radio Savannah, DJ virus-tanga radio, lexis-A1 radio, DJ scout-w935fm who are all in the same category.

Speaking to a1radioonline.com after his nomination, Lexis Drive mentioned that he was grateful that his work has been recognised and considered for an award. He was however, very optimistic of bringing home the coveted award.

Meanwhile, Co host of the Sunset Drive, Dj Phatbone who won entertainment show host of the year at the first edition of the awards scheme last year was also nominated for the Dj of the year category and will have to fend off opposition from DJ k2-kesmi FM, DJ kofi-123fm, DJ sham-radio tamale, DJ tobile-wfm, DJ aluther-word FM, DJ ki-tanga radio, DJ nash-wfm.

A1 Radio also picked up two nominations which include Best entertainment show of the year and Best radio station of the year-upper east region categories.

Organisers of the show are however, yet to come out with the process for voting for your favourite personality.
