Captain of Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan, has rejected claims generating controversies in what some Ghanaians describe as a ‘mallam Goal’.
Captain Asamoah Gyan scored his land mark goal in Black Stars game against the national team of Ethiopia last Sunday. This marked his 50th goal in the 102 appearances he has made for the Black Stars, making him the first ever player in the Black Stars to have achieved such a record setting mark.
The captain explained in an interview that he is a multidimensional scorer.
“I have so many ways of scoring” he buttressed, saying further that he could score goals using either his feet or head provided he is in good shape and form.
He, however admitted that there is spirituality in the game of soccer saying it would be a lie to deny that football is devoid of spirituality.
Asamoah Gyan says it is an undeniable fact that every player needs spiritual support in the form of prayer since football itself is a spirit.
