In desperate move to control the frequent disturbances in connection with the Chieftaincy issue in the Bolgatanga traditional area, the Bolgatanga Municipal Security Council (MUSEC), has decided to limit movements of people, motorbikes and vehicles on the two major main streets of the Atulbabiisi community after 10:00pm.

“ When we met at MUSEC meeting we agreed that after 10:00pm, the security will not allow people in and out, we want to make sure we minimum movement within the area. Because it is the movement that normally will bring all these problem we are getting, so if the police will ensure that we have limited movement within the area, it will assist,” Bolgatanga Municipal Chief Executive told the press.

The council also intends to bond the two feuding gates. Joseph Amiyure, the Municipal Chief Executive and Chairman of MUSEC, briefed journalists on Wednesday after the council met on Tuesday.

Mr. Amiyure dismissed allegations leveled against him by persons he believes are his political opponents who claimed he was in court last week when a judgment was made on the dispute.

However, he is hopeful that the police will do a professional job in bringing the culprits to book.
