The Member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga Central Constituency, Isaac Adongo has disclosed that he will in the coming days introduce a human centered project his constituency called “Alternative livelihood empowerment”.
According to him, the project will be focusing on three major areas which are all geared towards empowering the people in his constituency in order to help reduce poverty.
Hon. Isaac Adongo made this disclosure when he presented a Ram and a Bull to the Muslim community in the Upper east Regional capital, Bolgatanga.
He said “I intend to introduce a project we call Alternative Livelihood empowerment which will focus on three key areas which are all geared towards empowering the youth and reducing poverty. I intend to support people in the craft industry in order to boost their work. We also intend provide some scholarship packages to support students realize their dreams”.
The Member of Parliament who also presented some awards to winners and second placed teams in the Zongo gala said he expects footballers to take their studies seriously regardless of how talented they are.
Isaac Adongo asked the youth of the Bolgatanga Central constituency to maintain the peace the constituency has enjoyed over the years. He said the constituency needs peace in order for it to have a boom in economic activities and also reduce the poverty levels and therefore asked that they emulate the Chief Imam Yusif Adam.
