President MahamaPresident John Mahama has once again given assurances of his commitment to accept the final outcome of election petition case.

“I just want to say that we have no other option than to accept the verdict; We must accept the verdict because that is the Supreme Court of Ghana and the constitution gives it the authority to adjudicate as the final arbiter on matters like this.”

According to him, he did nothing to influence the presidential elections and was sure the Supreme Court verdict will confirm that.

“I believe that truth is on my side and that we didn’t do anything to influence that election.”

The President made the comments when he paid a courtesy call on the national chief imam and the leadership of Muslim Federation in the country.

Speaking on behalf of the National chief Imam, Sheikh Armiyao Shuaib said Muslims will continue to pray to safeguard the peace and integrity of the country.

“We will continue to pray for the peace of our country, the prosperity of our country and for the unity of our country.”
