Two persons are reported dead following a broad day robbery attack in the midst of busy market day activities in Pelungu in the Nabdam District of the upper east region a while ago.
Eye witnesses say the gang of four robbers stormed a Rural Bank situated around the market area on two motorbikes and are believed to have made away with some amount of money.
A pandemonium broke out as traders and persons around run for their lives following sporadic shots fired by the robbers. Two persons were shot in the process.
A team of police patrol team arrived at the scene minutes after the robbers bolted away.
