Upper East Regional Museum suffers low patronage

A museum is a hub of historical artifacts and famous works of art. It is opened to the public, local and international tourists both young and old.
In the Upper East Region, though the facility is opened to the public, management of the Regional Museum is worried about low patronage.

In an exclusive with a1radioonline.com, the Director of the Upper East Regional Museum, Prisca Naambome Yenzie, said the rate of visits to the Museum, especially by the locals, is disheartening and has to change, so as to keep the facility relevant.

Madam Yenzie laments neglect of the facility by successive governments and calls for support from the region, since this is the only museum that has artifacts from the entire Upper East, Northern and Upper West regions.

The Museum is opened and we expect schools to visit the place to learn and for the elderly to also come and learn to be able to impart knowledge to their children.
