Deputy Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Joseph Dindiok Kpemka has hinted that there will be more prosecutions in the coming weeks as he discloses that some high profile cases are being prosecuted and a successful outcome could save the country over 1 billion Ghana Cedis.
The Deputy Attorney General and Member of Parliament for Tempane in the Upper East Region, said aside some four high profile cases that are being prosecuted in court, government will prosecute more cases in the coming weeks.
Mr. Kpemka was speaking at the launch of the New Patriotic Party’s Upper East Regional Youth Wing in Bolgatanga, where he assured Ghanaians and party members to exercise some patience, as government wants due diligence to be done on all cases before they are taken court for prosecution.
“Some people are saying that for two years government has not been able to prosecute anyone of corrupt practices. I hope when the cases start going to court and people are prosecuted, these same people would not start crying foul.” Mr. Kpemka said.
He urged members and supporters of the New Patriotic Party at all levels to be law abiding and stay out of trouble to avoid any problem with the law.
