Head of Sports at A1 Radio has organized a cleanup exercise at Bolgatanga stadium

Head of sports at A1 Radio, Humu Khrusum Tahiru as part of her vision of seeing the progress of sport in the region, has mobilized some youth in the Bolgatanga municipality to do a cleanup exercise inside the Bolgatanga Sports Stadium.

According to her, anytime she passes by and see how dirty the stadium looked, she felt sad for the youth with sport talents who cannot use the place, hence her decision to get some friends and sports enthusiastic to clean the Bolgatanga Stadium to give it a new look.

The exercise brought together a lot of youth made up of footballers and known spectators to clean the stadium.

Those who spoke to A1 Radio expressed their happiness over the bold step taken by her and encouraged her to do more for the youth in order for them to make the place beautiful and good for football again.

They however called on relevant authorities to lobby to get the Stadium worked on to befit the status of Bolgatanga Municipality.

For years, the Upper East Region has never had a good stadium to play league, tournament and so Bolga All Star, the first team to qualifies, had to play it home matches and ended up being relegated from the Premier league.
