Football coach, Nana Agyeman, has added his voice to many football lovers who hold the view that there are gender disparities in women’s football in the country.

According to him, the football fraternity often spend huge amount of resources in renting expensive hotels to male footballers than they do to the female ones in the country, hence needs to be addressed.

Nana Agyeman made this known on A1 Radio’s Sport Cafe Show, on Saturday when he was asked about the performances of the Black Stars at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

He noted that one of the reasons the Black Stars to perform the way they did was because there were no proper structures put in place at the ground.

He also estimated that in the next 10 years, Ghana may win the Africa Cup of Nations if only factors that ensure discipline and commitment are considered by the Normalization Committee.

“In the next 10 years, Ghana can win the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), if only the football Normalization Committee begins building the ground level for sports across the regions. There are no proper structures put in place at the ground levels to equip the players.” He explained.

He however encouraged various sport centers and administrators across the regions to begin focusing on how to train players on the strategies of playing football and stop putting resources meant for players into their own pockets as that distracts players from putting in their best.
