The Saturday’s parliamentary primaries of the opposition National Democratic Congress (DCE) has produced some shocking and interesting results from the Chiana-Paga Constituency as the former District Chief Executive for the area, Thomas Dalu Adda whip the incumbent Member of Parliament, Rudolf Nsorwinne Amenga-etego to lead the party.

The former DCE, Mr. Dalu secured 365 votes beating the incumbent MP and four others to become the parliamentary candidate of the NDC in the constituency.

Speaking to A1 News the former DCE said he anticipated unseating the MP because the delegates bought into his message of unifying the party due to some existent party problems which the MP could not resolved.

Mr. Dalu who described the Chiana-Paga constituency as a world bank for the NDC expressed optimism of retaining the seat.

“They are not divisions, they are just party problems and we are trying to deal with them. I don’t have any doubt that Rudolf will move along for the sake of the party. The thing that normally send us, for the NPP to occupy the seat is the idea of people having problems. And that is the reason why my campaign message was to foster unity in the party. Without any disunity within us, the constituency is a world bank for the party”.
