Minister for Aviation and incumbent Member of Parliament for Navrongo Central Constituency,Hon.Kofi Adda is running away from his allegations against the Media in Upper East Region.
The Minister in a radio interview on A1 Radio made frivolous allegations against media practitioners in the region that, he was aware his contender the Upper East Regional Minister,Hon.Tangoba Abayage shared ‘Mercedes Benz cars’ and Ghs15000 to some Journalists to do her biding in the upcoming parliamentary primaries.
When host of Daybreak Upper East,Samuel Mbura pressed for evidence on the show,Mr. Adda claimed the facts were not readily available and will be revealed in due time.
The comment by the MP who is seeking re-election for the Navrongo central seat was condemned with some people calling on him to render an apology which he never did.
But speaking on Reporter’s Visit on A1 Radio during a ceremony to file his nominations ahead of the parliamentary primaries of the NPP in Navrongo,Mr. Adda ate back his words with a twist in his earlier categorical allegation stating that he only asked a question whether Journalists were supported with cars and funds or not.
“I asked a question, I expected an answer. I asked about the host that day whether he has been supported to build a capacity to be able to get a car.Those were questions I asked,they haven’t been answered,if the answer may be negative,so be it.That question still remains unanswered.I heard something and that is why asked” he claimed.
Meanwhile,Mr. Adda has still not apologized for his unsubstantiated allegations agaisnt the Media
