Management and staff of A1 Radio on Sunday May 10, 2020 honoured the Chief Executive Officer of Agreed Best Communications Limited, operators of A1 Radio, Regina Bagnaba as part of Mothers’ Day celebrations.

A brief ceremony to honour the CEO was a surprise to her as she was not informed about the ceremony.

Chairperson of A1 Radio Staff Welfare Union, Mercy Yamtot Adongo who presented the a citation, a four yards of locally made cotton cloth popularly known as Fugu, said the honour was to show appreciation to the CEO for her motherly love, care and generosity for all staff. Aside the cloth and citation, there was also cake and Champaign.

On behalf of staff and management, General Manager of A1 Radio, William Nlanjerbor Jalulah, said the CEO, whom all staff of the station affectionately call Mama, is a dynamic mother who cares so much about the welfare of her staff. This, the General Manager said has contributed significantly to the success of the influential media house in the region.

Madam Bagnaba who could not control shedding tears because she was overwhelmed by the surprise said, “I am shocked and short of words. I am overwhelmed. I don’t know what to say. I am so much surprised at what you guys have done. But there is one thing that I can always ask for you; that is for the heavens to witness this day and just as you have remembered me and surprised me, may the Lord, in every hour, minute and second when blessing his own, never forgets you. I am shedding tears not because of anything but they are just tears of joy and I believe wherever my husband is [late], and your Dad is, if there is life after death, I know by now he is rejoicing. It’s not me alone that you are celebrating, he is part of me and you are celebrating him too. Myself, my family, appreciate the love. Not every organization that you go that they will accept you as a mother, it is not everybody that you can comfortably get closer to but you availed yourselves and made yourselves ready to work with me and that’s why I keep appreciating you guys. God bless you.”

Pastor Allen Emfraim Botchey of Royal Family Restoration Ministry and Pastor Moses Akoogo of Church of God Ghana, both station pastors at A1 Radio, took center stage in praying for the CEO, her family, the company and staff of the station.
