Covid-19 patients are part of us and need love,not stigma-Hon. Tangoba

Authorities in the Upper East Region have confirmed a significant stride made in the fight against Coronavirus.

The region has recorded a total of 26 confirmed cases with a single death since the outbreak of the virus in the country.Several contact tracing have been undertaken while the total cases have remained 26 for the past two weeks.

And as the country has witnessed a progressive number of recoveries out of the six thousand confirmed cases, Upper Region has chalked a successful recovery of 20, creating an atmosphere of ease feeling and optimism in the fight against Coronavirus.

The good news was announced by the Upper East Regional Minister,Tangoba Abayage on her social media handle and has therefore appealed to the public to shun stigmatization against persons and families affected by the disease.

“I have great news Upper East Region!
20 out of the 26 cases of Covid19 in the Region have recovered. (GHS).We thank God and all who have helped to make this possible.They’re part of us and need love; not stigma!”~ Hon. Tangoba Abayage, Upper East Regional Minister said.
