Gambibgo Chief Appeals To Government To Provide A Bridge For The Community

River_BridgeThe chief of the Gambibgo traditional area, Naba Anun-egra Akolmolga Adakpea, has made a passionate appeal to government and authorities concerned to construct a bridge over a river that cuts off the community and other nearby communities from the Bolgatanga township.

He made this appeal during a durbar on Thursday; to officially unveil an ultramodern building for his administrative works.

According to him, during the rainy seasons, many people including the aged fall in the river and sustain various forms of injury which sometimes lead to the loss of lives and other valuable properties.

He further said that because relatives are not well in tuned of what to do when a relative is drown they proceed with the burial ceremony without getting the appropriate authorities or bodies informed which he believes goes a long way to shield their problem from the authorities.

Naba Anun-egra also called on the people of Gambibgo to desist from indiscriminate sale of land in other not to render their future generations homeless, and urged parents to take serious, the education of their children.

The assemblyman for the area, Ayinbila Abubakar Atera, charged members of the community both in and outside, to make the development of the community a priority.
