My Constituency is now a stronghold of NPP-MP

The Member of Parliament for Tempane constituency and Deputy Attorney General, Joseph Kpemka has said that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is gradually becoming a party appreciated and accepted by the people of Tempane Constituency in the Upper East Region.

The drive behind the constituency becoming a stronghold of the the NPP ,according to the MP, was due to the extraordinary numerous policies implemented by the NPP government since it assumed office.


He was confident, that with the unity existing among the party leadership, appointees and members of the New Patriotic Party in Tampane, coupled with the massive development and employment opportunities the youth have received through office of the District Chief Executive, Member of Parliament, Northern Development Authority and Youth Employment Authority, the NPP and for that matter he and the President Nana Akufo-Addo Addo will emerge victorious come December 7, 2020.


The Member of Parliament, made the pronouncement on Thursday in Bugri community during a meeting with party delegates.


“I am aware of the herculean task ahead, but I would like to say without equivocation that gradually, Tempane is becoming the strong hold for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the region. Where we are determine by the kind grace of God to consolidate the gain made in 2016 and to win this time with a very large margin. I can tell you without any shade of doubt that the policy that have been implemented by the government of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo in this constituency in particular, through the office of the District Chief Executive (DCE), my office as Member of Parliament (MP), Youth Employment Authority (YEA) office and Northern Development Authority (NDA) office, I can tell you that, the combined effect of these 4 offices have made the Tempane seat by the kind grace of God, very safe one for the New Patriotic Party” He said.


He noted that “This is a constituency noted for that unity in the last few years by the New Patriotic Party. In 2016, I was the sole candidate, I wasn’t contested by anyone and again in 2020, I am the sole candidate. You could see from amongst us those who were going round with us, an array of achievers who are capable of becoming parliamentary candidate to win the seat for us and all of have resolved I should once again go as sole candidate and what else can I say, than a big thank you to them as the opinion leaders and a big thank you to the delegates and a big thank you to the regional executive, constituency executive and national executive for the confident they posed in me to go unopposed”.


Jospeh Kpemka who went unopposed further stated that “ at the close of nomination in this constituency, I was the only one who picked a form and retuned it successfully to the constituency executives for onward transmission to regional and national. Now, after having gone through the entire process, the National Executive Committee (NEC) has issued a notice of poll with me as the sole candidate. And they stated in there, in their write up, that says I have been nominated and endorsed by the national executive as the candidate for Tempane and that my duty is to go round and address delegates.


Meanwhile,the Tempane District Electoral Officer Seth Kumaza who was present at delegate’s engagement with their unopposed Parliamentary candidate for the 2020 election, officially confirmed Lawyer Joseph Kpemka as the NPP Parliamentary candidate for the 2020 election.


Government and Party appointees from Tempane constituency led by the constituency chairman Anabida Issaka and his executives, Deputy CEO of YEA Ibrahim Bashiru, Deputy CEO of NDA Patrick Seidu, the District Chief Executive Paul Abugri Azumah were all present and supportive during the delegates engagement.
