General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) John Boadu, has described the NPP’s government has better managers of Ghana’s economy that has brought respite to Ghanaians.

“The NPP just within Three-half years has done so well. This is a party that inherited an economy as if it was prepared for sale. An economy that couldn’t pay for teachers and nurses training college allowances, an economy that was in ‘dumsor’ for five years, an economy that, there was employment freeze.

With proper management of the economy, we have been able to restore what the NDC couldn’t. With the digitization of the economy, you can now pay your electricity bills without going to the electricity company to buy, this, the NDC couldn’t understand and the kind of difference that ,this has brought to the people is enormous”.

Mr. Boadu disclosed this on A1 Radio on Tuesday, July 28 during a monitoring visit to the  Upper East Regionon the  ongoing voters’ registration exercise .

He was optimistic that, the NPP will soon become a party of choice for every Ghanaian considering the many pro-poor interventions rolled out by the party and tailored at addressing the critical problems confronting Ghanaians.

Mr. Boadu chided the social democrats thus the NDC for their abysmal performance on social intervention programmes to ameliorate the plight of citizens under their eight(8) years regime.

“From the way the NPP is going, I believe that, it will get to a time where the NPP will be a party of choice.

It will be a party where any Ghanaian will be happy to associate themselves with because, if you mention all social intervention programmes, almost all of them, it is only the NPP who introduced them. But we have a ‘so-called’ NDC who cannot boost of just two social intervention programmes”.

Mr. Boadu appealed to the people in the region to vote massively to retain the NPP government in the December polls to do more for Ghanaians.

He was however confident that, the party will improve its parliamentary seats in the upcoming 2020 elections.

He commended party executives of the region for their dedication and sacrifice and urged them to work harder for the party’s victory in the 2020 polls.
