GNAT supports teacher with GHC19,400.00 to undergo surgery

The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has supported its member, Mr. Mustapha Alhassan Musah with an amount of Ghc19,400.00 to undergo a surgery at the Tamale Teaching Hospital in the Northern Region.

Mr. Mustapha Alhassan Musah, a Mathematics teacher at the St John’s Junior High School in Bolgatanga was diagnosed with a tumor in the head which has since affected his sight, thereby making it difficult for him to work effectively.

Speaking to A1 NEWS, Bolga municipal GNAT Chairman, Charles Ateem, explained that, the intervention was in line with the association’s support for members in critical conditions.

“GNAT as a body will always make sure it protects and provides the support it can to it members. Mr. Musah, situation was so heartbreaking that, we at the regional level saw the need to support him to undergo the surgery. We hope it will be a successful one so that he will be able to resume his normal duties for mother Ghana and the association as well.

This support alone cannot be enough for his surgery, so we entreat other benevolent individuals to also extend their support to Mr. Musah to be able to undergo his surgery successful”.

Receiving the donated cheque at his house, Mr. Mustapha Alhassan Musah and his family expressed gratitude for the kind gesture.

He further, appealed to the public for financial support and their prayers for a successful surgery.
