Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central Constituency in the Upper East Region, Isaac Adongo, says, constituents cannot afford to trade off his competence and performance as a legislator for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate Rex Asanga.

According to him, the constituents are yelling for a John Mahama-Isaac Adongo government that will transform the constituency hence will not substitute him for an NPP ‘reject’ Rex Asanga.

Mr. Adongo disclosed this, in an exclusive interview with A1 NEWS at the Tindonsobilgo primary school registration centre where he registered for his voter’s identification card.

“I want to tell NPP that, people of Bolga cannot substitute Isaac Adongo for Akufo Addo reject. Akufo Addo has been in office for how many years now? Can you imagine the next NDC government without Isaac Adongo that is the quality the people of Bolga are dealing with. So you can’t substitute a performer with an NPP reject. We deserve better than that, and the people know the quality of work I have done, just by your office [A1 Radio] you see what I am doing there, have I ever spoken about it?.

Ignorant people will say I haven’t deliver but when I start to commission them; they will begin to see that I am doing a lot of those kinds across the constituency. And when I come to my constituency is all about work not about big English, I do that in Accra. But if it is Asanga on any day, Bolga people know that I am a great performer and they cannot sacrifice me for Akufo Addo and NPP reject”.

Mr. Adongo commended agents of all political parties at registration centres in the constituency for the peaceful voters’ registration exercise.
