The founder of Kassena Nankana United, Cherry Mboma has started a project that seeks to solicit support in the form of boots for players of his club.

Mboma City is the juvenile side of Nankana United. Most of the kids at this level come from homes where support is difficult to come by.

The project dubbed: One Football Boot, One Child (1B 1C) is intended to help put smiles on the little faces.

The astute football administrator narrated on A1 Radio how one of his players almost lost his life at the Navrongo car park.

He said, “The boy apparently was at the lorry park to work to be able to buy boot for training unfortunately got knocked by a car.

The boy and many others will no longer risk their lives just to get boot for training, my project is going to help in that regard.”

According to him, the project has started yielding results as he thanks those who have welcomed the project.

Mr Mboma said, “I’m overwhelmed by the reception of my project. I want to thank all who have already contributed whiles I anticipate more.”
