News coming in from Paga-Chiana Constituency in the Upper East Region says voting had delayed for almost one hour at the Kandiga Primary ‘B’ Polling Station due to the failure of the biometric verification device to verify voters who were ready to cast their ballot.
In the midst of the unexpected delay, voters have reportedly remained calm in their queues to exercise their franchise as and when the problem with the verification device was rectified.
According to our reporter, efforts were made to reach a technician from the district office of the Electoral Commission (EC) who quickly moved-in to rectify the challenge.
Voting has since commenced and is reportedly going on smoothly.
