A political science lecturer at the University of Ghana, Dr. Stephen Ahiador has described as unfortunate, a statement issued by the Christian council of Ghana saying Ghanaians have lost confidence in government and President John Dramani Mahama.

The Christian council of Ghana (CCG) said in communiqué that Ghanaians have lost confidence in government and President John Dramani Mahama after a meeting with the heads of churches, organizations and executive committee members. The statement said, the current economic situation in the country is worsening the livelihoods of our people and has become unbearable.

However, speaking on A1 Radio’s Daybreak Upper East with Albert Azongo on Monday, Dr. Stephen Ahiadoor who is a political science lecturer at the University of Ghana described the statement as unfortunate. He cited the Christian Council’s silence on issues bordering on the morality of Ghanaians as a reason for his comment and questioned why the council will choose instead, to comment on issues that are political in nature.
