A Former Upper East Regional Minister, Rockson Ayine Bukari, has recounted how supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) whom he described as party boys, treated him during his tenure as minister of the Upper East Region.

According to the 73 year old, despite his age, the party boys bullied him as if he was their co-equal.

In an exclusive interview with A1 Radio, Mr. Bukari noted that learning from the treatment meted to him as regional minister, he will not want any ministerial position under the next NPP administration.

“I hate to say but party boys did not consider my age and bullied me like I was their mate. They will say anything and expect you to do it like magic. So, for me, if there is any consideration that President Akufo-Addo has for me, it should not be a ministerial position but something different.”

“At this my age, I will like my President to consider if only there is anything and he wants me to serve under his second administration, being an ambassador to any country will be good for me.”

Mr. Bukari went on to urge supporters and sympathizers of the NPP to preach unity at all times to build the party to its greatest heights.
