Ghana’s Banking Sector on Monday, January 18 lost a gem, Leonard Gikunu. Even though information to A1radioonline.com about his death is scanty, some persons close to the deceased have been reported to have linked his death to COVID-19.

The late Leonard Gikunu before his demise was the Head of Corporate Finance at Fidelity Bank, and will for a long time be remembered and commended for his immense contribution to Ghana’s economy.

Mr. Gikunu is a Chartered Accountant and a first-class BSc Admin. student from the University of Ghana – Legon.

His demise preceded that of Ghana’s National Security Coordinator, Joshua Kyeremeh, whose death on Monday, January 18, was equally been linked to COVID-19.

Leonard Gikunu is counted among the very top human resources in Ghana’s Banking and Finance Sector and will be remembered for designing Ghana’s Energy Sector Levies Act (ESLA) Bond financing program.

A1radioonline.com has gathered that recent COVID-19 related deaths have become a great source of worry to the government and this could be the reason President Akufo Addo has directed the Ghana Police Service to ensure that Ghanaians practise all COVID-19 safety protocols.
