A Deputy Regional Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Savannah Region, Mahama Asumah has passed on. A party source told Tamaleonline.com.
Mr. Asumah died in the early hours of Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the Holistic Medical Center at Buipe in the Central Gonja District, after battling ill health.
The late Mahama was very instrumental in the activities of the NDC in the Yapei Kusawgu Constituency, where he served as Constituency Youth Organiser for eight years.
In 2018, the deceased was elected Deputy Regional Organiser following the creation of new regions in which the Savannah Region was carved out of the Northern Region.
The late Asumah Mahama will be laid to rest on the same day in accordance with Islamic practices.
The bereaved family has also asked for secrecy.
