The National Democratic Congress has suspended its former Deputy General Secretary, Samuel Koku Anyidoho.

A statement dated February 8, 2021, and signed by the party’s General Secretary, John Aseidu Nketia said the suspension takes immediate effect.

The suspension is possibly a direct reaction to some petitions from some members of the NDC requesting the National Council of the party to punish Mr. Anyidoho for what these petitions term as gross misconduct and deliberate attempts at bringing the NDC into public ridicule.

Mr. Aseidu Nketia’s statement said the party considered two separate petitions at a meeting on January 20, 2021, after which the decision to suspend him (Koku Anyodoho) was taken.

The statement noted that the decision of the party is backed by its constitution [articles 46(1),46(6), and 46(8)(b) ].
