The Member of Parliament for the Builsa-South Constituency in the Upper East Region, Dr. Clement Apaak has expressed fear that the lack of PPEs in some schools in the Upper East Region and across the country, as well as cases of overcrowding in schools, are challenges that if not addressed immediately could spark the spread of the virus in schools.

Dr. Apaak, has been very critical of how government is managing the Covid-19 situation in the country and has become more vigilant since schools reopened.

According to Dr. Apaak, government had promised that schools were going to have the full complement of their PPEs and other logistics for the fight against Covid-19 before schools reopened, but his checks indicated that many schools did not get the full complement of their PPEs and other logistics.

He was speaking on the Daybreak Upper East show on A1 Radio in the Bolgatanga Municipality.
