The Second Vice-Chairman of the New Patriotic Party in the Bolgatanga East Constituency, Desmond Atiah Abane has revealed that many residents of the area may migrate to neighboring assemblies in the region if President Akufo-Addo maintains Rev. Emmanuel Abugre Abole as DCE.

Buttressing his point, Mr. Atiah said the acting DCE for the Bolgatanga East district places a premium on his interest over the interest of the district.

Describing the DCE who doubles a ‘man of God’ as a violent person with an unforgiving heart, the Second Vice-Chairman of the NPP in the Bolgatanga East constituency in the Upper East region expressed sentiments that many residents of the district may migrate if the DCE is given another opportunity to lead the district.

“We are not in a jungle. If Abole is made the DCE for this area again, we will all leave the district and go somewhere. We will migrate. He is violent and he has been fighting with almost everyone here”, the Second Vice-Chairman of the NPP revealed this on ‘Zina Yela’ program on A1 Radio.

The DCE had leveled an allegation against the Second Vice-Chairman for instigating some youth to attack and vandalize his properties.

“They threatened my life as the district chief executive that they will make the district ungovernable for me and I will run away from the district. Later on, a few issues started emerging and unfortunate, one person who was supposed to be my man, the Second Vice-Chairman was spearheading this game plan”, according to Rev. Abole.

But in a sharp response, the Second Vice-Chairman of the NPP in the Bolgatanga East constituency is demanding an unqualified apology from the DCE over the “wild allegation” leveled against him.

“He wants to destroy the party and go and we will not accept that. Some of us are disappointed in him. I want him to give me evidence of where I stood and made the youth threaten his life. With this wild allegation, I want him to render an unqualified apology. He has an unforgiven heart”.

Mr. Atiah’s comments came days after the DCE went on a rampage to retrieve motorbikes given to party members before the 2020 elections.

Rev. Abole contested the 2020 parliamentary election in the Bolgatanga East constituency under the ticket of the New Patriotic Party but lost to the incumbent MP, Dr. Dominic Ayine of the NDC.

But after his defeat, Rev. Abole has been reportedly pursuing some party youth in the constituency for two motorbikes he offered out for party activities.

According to the party executives, the DCE went to the extreme of demanding one of the motorbikes from the family of a deceased party supporter. The young man got involved in an accident and died while jubilating over the NPP victory.

Another party member who resisted attempts by the DCE to retrieve the motorbike according to Mr. Atiah was arrested by the orders of the 2020 NPP parliamentary candidate.

Meanwhile, Prof Abole has vehemently denied all the allegations leveled against him.
