Luck however eluded the alleged armed robbers as the community members and passers-by mobilised and arrested them. They subsequently lynched the suspects..

When A1 News arrived at scene Monday March 1, 2021, the police were there to convey the bodies of the victims.

The police however declined to comment on the incident but some residents of Kologo said the Kologo-Naaga road has now become a dangerous road to use after 7:00pm due to frequent attacks on them by armed robbers especially on market days.

Narrating his ordeal to A1 News, a community member said, “This year alone, they robbed not less than 20 people on that road. My motobike and money were taken away from me by armed robers long long ago.”

A1 News gathered that armed robbery attacks in recent times have been on the rise in the Navrongo municipality.

On Friday, 26th February, 2021, students of CKT University of Technology and Applied Sciences were robbed of their belongings including laptop computers, mobile phones and money.

In the same week, three people were robbed at Nayagenia along the Navrongo-Bolgatanga high way. Thesw attacks have left residents of Navrongo in fears.
