Controversial Ghanaian Reggae musician and Radio Presenter, Blakk Rasta says he has never regretted waging a campaign against American President, Donald Trump, saying he was a terrible president and so people who are claiming he (Trump) was a good president because he stood against gays and homosexualism in America and the world, should have a rethink.
Blakk Rasta was answering a question as to why he still sees Donald Trump as a terrible man and bad president when he(Trump) stood firmly against gays and homosexuality in the world.
According to him, Donald Trump was a bad leader but had no choice but to tow the line and ideology of his party which is a conservative one and definitely against things that are not in line with religion and culture.
“… Trump was a terrible man and he will continue to be a terrible man. That is why he lost and he will continue to lose. Look Ghanaians are so, (I don’t want to use that word), how can you say because a man says Jesus Christ, Bible, no abortion and so he is a good man. We have pastors in Ghana who preach with the Bible, they don’t like homosexuality and they are worse, worse, worse than witches and wizards. The fact that you hold on to one principle, that you don’t believe in abortion, you don’t believe in LGBT it means that you are good.”
Blakk Rasta was speaking over the weekend on the CITYBUS Reggae Show with Jonathan Abugbilla alias Ital on A1 Radio in Bolgatanga Municipality in the Upper East Region.
According to Blakk Rasta, even though he does not say homosexuality is good or bad, he believes that many of the people fighting against the LGBT society today are worse and do not have the moral right to fight them.
He believes that a time will come when the rights of the LGBTQ society will be granted, just as Marijuana has been legalized in Ghana.
“Now Ital, homosexuality will be legalized in Ghana no two ways about that. You know why? It will be legalized because of our foolish leaders who have no brains. They always run around begging the white man for food. Sankara said, ‘anyone who feeds you controls you’. So, if you getting food from the kitchen of the white man, he will control you and tell you what to do.”
