Ghanaian Reggae Musician and Radio Presenter, Abubakar Ahmed popularly known in the showbiz world as Blakk Rasta, has opined that, homosexuality will be ligalised in Ghana because of the country’s bad leadership and overly dependence on foreign aids.

According to the ‘Barack Obama’ hit maker, “They [Ghanaian leaders] are always running around, following the white men for food, and anybody who feeds you controls you [quoting Thomas Sankara, former Burkina Faso president]. If you are getting food from the kitchen of the white man, he will control you and tell you what to do.”

Speaking on A1 Radio’s CityBus Show with host Jonathan Abugbilla alias Ital, Blakk Rasta made reference to the late former president, John Even Atta Mills denouncing Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) proposed to Ghana by then United Kingdom Prime Minister, David Cameron in exchange for aid and said, “When Atta Mills said no to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender in Ghana, in a few days, he was dead and gone.”

He again said, “I was so shocked that, he [Atta Mills] would say such a thing and still go back to that country to seek for treatment [when he was ill]. A lot of their Doctors are gays. If you don’t like dog, please don’t go to the house of the man who eats it”

Currently, the debate over legalization or otherwise of LGBT has risen in Ghana following the closure of their office space in Accra by the Ghana Police Service.
