The Registrar of the CK Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Dr. Vincent Anum Ankamah-Lomotey has said that the university has what it takes to train and prepare students for the job market.

Speaking on Day Break Upper East on A1radio, on Friday, March 5, Dr. Ankamah-Lomotey said: “…the choice of our research areas are tailor-made in the sense that, we are looking at existing problems within the country, within the environment that we can bring up solutions for, and so our research basically is to influence policies, decision, actions, attitudes, basically just to make an impact”.

Elaborating on the impact the university would have on the immediate people of the area, he said the location of the school is strategic because the farmers in the region really need coaching and the university with relative courses offered would meet such needs of the people.

He, therefore, urged students to make the university their number one option, saying, “… we have all what it takes to train students for the world of work and make them very useful citizens of this country [Ghana] and beyond”

C.K Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS) is a public university situated at Navrogo in the Kassena-Nankana District of the Upper East Region. The university which was one of the three campuses of the University for Development Studies (UDS) has recently gained its autonomy to manage its affairs.
