The Zongo Women’s Coordinator of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Talensi Constituency has threatened to resign from the party.
The threat of resignation is triggered by a denial of the Coordinator a school feeding contract in Tongo.
The aggrieved woman ,Zakaria Mari told A1radionline.com that ,the Tongo primary school feeding contract was designated to her as a promise by the party during the campaign period.
But the contract has been awarded to an unknown person after the 2020 general elections.
According to Madam Mari,it was baffling that,someone of her stature in the party could be deceived in that manner.
She lamented about that,the party’s leadership use her and women groups for campaigns and neglect that afterwards.
She accused the District Chief Executive ,Constituency Party Chairman and the Parliamentary Candidate for sabotaging her for their greedy reasons.
She also indicated that, this has been the behaviour of party leadership in the constituency anything they win power.
She has therefore indicated that if the school feeding contract at the Tongo Primary school is not awarded to her,she will quit the NPP together with her women groups.
“I’ve suffered for the party in this Constituency but they always promise and fail me and my women groups. The Chairman, The Parliamentary Candidate and DCE are those behind this, I know them. They always decieve as during the campaign season but neglect us after elections.we’ve been quite all this while, we won’t keep quite.if this contract is not given to me to also sort my women group out,I will resign from the NPP with my women” She said.
