Airtel rolls-out advertising services

Airtel Ghana has rolled-out its mobile advertising services in Ghana. The platform offers advertisers new and targeted ways to engage with customers.

The Marketing Director of Airtel Ghana, Mr Manu Rajan, in a release issued in Accra, said: “Airtel Ghana is at the forefront of giving advertisers and ad agencies exactly what they need – direct, targeted dialogue with customers.”

“Supported by our superior network, our mobile advertising service goes beyond displaying advertising to create more value for advertisers, create a richer experience for customers and maximise the use of our network,” he said.

According to the release, the new service was tailored to incentivise customers with localised, relevant adverts on product and promo offers, content, events, programmes, services and other benefits such as up-to-date sports information. It added that, “building on its success and expansion of its network.

Airtel Ghana is sharing innovation across Ghana. Airtel Ghana is taking a different approach with mobile advertising offering all mobile customers in Ghana the chance to experience tailor-made advertising that aims specifically at the needs of the customer.”

The release further quoted the Chief Executive Officer of Integrat Africa, Mr Lazarus Muchenje, as saying that “We are happy to be partnering with a global company like Airtel with its extensive network coverage to deliver highly targeted messaging campaigns that will show good results for our clients and focused messages for the customer base.”

It said innovative models like these let campaign planners better understand how their campaigns resonate with consumers.

The release said: “Airtel Ghana’s ability to tightly segment audiences will also result in a better consumer experience and deeper engagement with an advertiser’s message.”

To help localise offers in the market and provide excellent services on this platform, the release noted that “Airtel Ghana is leveraging its strategic partnership with IBM and will utilise the IBM/Mobixell Ad –Serving platform in order to enhance service delivery to our customers.”

“The synergy established from this partnership with Integrat Africa is to ultimately allow Airtel Ghana to better analyse interaction with consumers, enabling more intelligent campaign planning for its clients who will be utilising this service,” it added.
