U/E: Teacher acquires furniture for Naaga Primary School using Social Media

A teacher of Naaga Primary School in the Kassena-Nankana Municipality of the Upper East Region, Desmond Kampoe has sought the the support of the public and secured furniture for the school using social media.

Desmond when posted to teach at Naaga Primary School in 2017 was not enthused about the school’s furniture situation and had since resorted to public appeal through social media.

Technology Without Borders Group, a non-governmental organization and Abel Sellah and friends, Philanthropists responded to the call and donated about 81 Dual Desks to the school.

The Circuit Supervisor of Kologu-South, Maurice received the donation on behalf of the Kassena-Nankana Municipal Director of Education. In attendance were the representatives of the Chief of Naaga Traditional Area and the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) executives.

Stakeholders expressed gratitude to the sponsors and every individual whose efforts resulted in this timely gesture.

Furniture donated by philanthropists

The Originator behind this intervention, Desmond Kampoe in a statement said, “This gesture was followed by 20 Dual Desks received from the Kassena-Nankana Municipal Assembly, procured by the Immediate past Upper East Regional Minister, Tangoba Abayage. Adding up to a total of 115 Dual Desks.”

“I also facilitated and supervised the construction of 81 additional Dual Desks fully funded by friends and acquaintances. 30 of them were funded by Abel Sellah and friends, 51 by Technology Without Borders Group.”

Desmond thanked the sponsors who were touched by the furniture situation of the Naaga Primary School and positively responded to his call on social media.
