Deputy General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party(NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen has mooted out his intention to contest the general secretary position when the ban is lifted for a contest in the party.
According to him,there are posters of him as general secretary in circulation in Kumasi of the Ashanti Region.
Mr. Obiri Boahen in an interview on Daybreak Upper East said, though he has no knowledge about this agenda, he cannot condemn the actions of those who have trust and believe in his ability to lead the NPP.
“I saw pictures when I went to Kumasi ,Nana Obiri Boahen ,General Secretary 2020.in fact ,it wasn’t Nana Obiri Boahen for General Secretary, the person was specific Nana Obiri Boahen General Secretary 2020. How do you want me to condemn them .it will be politically suicidal to do that thing .
Why not ,I’ve an interest, it is only that the ban has not been lifted” he emphasised.
