Vice President Dr. Mahamud Bawumia has been advised to rather concentrate on his presidential ambition than touting “empty promises” of the government.
According to former Roads and Highways Minister under the erstwhile, John Mahama administration, Inusah Fuseini, the so called achievement stipulated by the Vice President is nothing relevant to the hard economic situation of the country.
He noted that, he was however, worried that instead of Dr. Bawumia investing his energy in championing his presidential ambition in a party considered an “Akan party” where his chances are narrow to lead the party was wasting his time projecting abstract feats.
“I think that Dr. Mahamud Bawumia first of all should be thinking about whether or not the NPP will allow him to be their flagbearer for 2024 elections. That should be the most important thing he should be considering now because of the heavily influenced Akan nature of the NPP. Whether all the things he said they have achieved whether the NPP will have confidence in him to let him lead their party .that should be the first thing he should be considering” he stated.
