The Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) has announced that funds are being mobilised to pay all the remaining arrears due caterers for providing a hot meal a day to Form 2 and Form 3 Junior High School pupils.

A1 Radioonline.com has sighted a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the GSFP, Siiba Alfa, on 30 March 2021, urging the caterers to exercise restraint while management engages the appropriate authorities for the release of the funds to defray the arrears immediately after the Easter break.

It would be recalled that last year, the government directed the GSFP to provide one free hot meal daily to junior high school 2 and 3 pupils who who stayed in school as part of measures to curbing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, some of the caterers who provided meals for those pupils are yet to be paid for their services.

The GSFP’s statement states, “We wish everyone a happy Easter and look forward to resolving our payment issues after the holidays,”
