Body of drowned teenager still not found, NADMO to resume search mission on Thursday

A rescue mission led by the officials of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in the Nabdam District of the Upper East Region to retrieve the body of a teenager that got drowned in a dam at Zanlerigu was unsuccessful on Wednesday March 31, 2021.

Enoch Kurugbil was reported to have gone to swim in a dam between Zanlerigu and Damolg but got drowned in the process.

Confirming the unfortunate incident to A1Rdioonline.com on Wednesday March 31, 2021 hours after the incident occurred, the Nabdam District Director of NADMO, Edward Adanbon said all efforts by his outfit with the support of the locals to retrieve the body of the teenager were unsuccessful.

He said the search team would resume its mission on Thursday April 1, 2021.

A source that first broke the news to A1Rdioonline.com had indicated that Master Kurugu was a Junior High School leaver.

The source said, “I’m told he completed Junior High School and gained admission into Kongo Senior School but I don’t know whether that is true or not.”
