I like Shatta Wale’s ‘Taking Over’ song- Paramount Chief of Navrongo

Though Shatta Wale the self-styled African Dancehall King is yet to make his move to the Upper East Region, the Paramount Chief for Navrongo Traditional Area, Pe- Dennis Aneakwoa Belinia Adda, has shown some love for the musician.

The paramount chief has noted that though he does not listen to circular music, Shatta Wale’s ‘Taking Over’ song is one of his favorite songs.

Pe- Dennis Aneakwoa Belinia Adda who made this loving revelation in an exclusive interview with A1 Radio, explained that music was all about bringing inspiration and love to its listeners therefore usually get inspired when listening to the musician’s ‘Taking Over’ song.

“I will not say I love the current crop of music but I do like Shatta Wale’s ‘Taking Over’ song. I like the song because it has a message that tells a lot and when you listen to it closely you will understand it better.

”But when it comes to his all-time best music, the paramount chief says his love for countryside music is unmatched and thus Don Williams, Kenny Rogers are his favourite.

This, he encouraged youth in the region especially those who found themselves in the music industry to always at all-time ensure that they have a message in their songs to inspire their listeners.

Adding that musicians in the region should see content creativity as a major role to improve their art as the sky will always be their limit.

“Yes, a couple of them, I do listen to our music; our young musicians are doing their best and I will encourage them to do more. They all have the talent and should do more to make us proud.”
