The Elections Committee of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has extended the closing date for the nomination of candidates for the association’s upcoming national and regional elections.
The committee earlier announced Tuesday April 27, 2021 as closing date for nominations but in a press release signed by Chairman of Elections Committee, Osei Kwadwo Addo, Esq, the new date is now Tuesday May 4, 2021.
The statement however emphasized that filing fees remain unchanged.

PRESS RELEASE
EXTENSION OF NOMINATION DATE FOR GJA ELECTION
The Elections Committee of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) wishes to inform members that the closing date for the nomination of candidates has been extended from Tuesday, 27th April, 2021 to 4th May, 2021. Time: 5pm.
The filing fees remain the same:
President (GHC3, 000),
Vice President (GHC 2,000),
General Secretary (GHC 1, 000),
Organising Secretary (GH¢ 1, 000), Treasurer (GH¢ 1, 000),
Public Affairs (GH¢1, 000), and
Regional Chairperson (GH¢1, 000).
All other regional positions – GH¢ 800.00
Nomination forms may be obtained from the GJA Website: www.gja.ghana.org
Filing fees should be paid into GJA’s account at NIB- 1 112037799401.
The Elections Committee apologises for the mix-up in the previous account communicated.
