A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) legal team, Lawyer Abraham Amaliba has described a meeting that was held by Dr Benjamin Kumbuor former Nandom MP and a member of the council of elders of the NDC as a distraction to the focus of the party.
Lawyer Amaliba who was speaking in an interview on Daybreak Upper East show on A1 Radio believes that holding a meeting at the time that the party hierarchy including the 2020 flagbearer of the party, his running mate, the council of elders, were also having a retreat at Ho was a distraction and there is the need for the party to address these distractions.
He added that the party should be focused because if people are disenchanted with the NPP administration the only party they look to is the NDC, so the NDC must have its axes properly done so that people can have confidence in the party to provide them with a better government.
Mr Amaliba said the grassroots of the party should be rest assured that the council of elders of the party will be able to address the issue should a petition be raised against the action of Dr Kunbuor.
