Chief of Balungu expresses joy after receiving a borehole from Eastwood Anaba Ministries

Chief of Tongo – Balungu in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region, Naba Mwaribilsonga Nietinga Putesone Maaletinga, and his community members have expressed excitement and gratitude to the Fountain Gate Chapel of Desert Pastures in Bolgatanga for providing the community with a borehole.

 

According to the Chief, water is important to every community and the borehole hopes to improve the lives of the community members as well serves as a source for animal intake within the community and beyond.

“I was having another event to attend but because you people are coming to hand over this borehole to me, I decided to delegate somebody to go there because water is very important to me, so I thank you for providing me with this borehole am much grateful. This borehole is not going to help we the human beings alone but our animals too as well, now our Dams have dry up and animals within this area are more than two thousand sheep and goats and they also need water like us”

Community Members

Speaking on behalf of the Fountain Gate Chapel, the Director of Social Transformation of the Eastwood Anaba Ministries, Ruth Wallace noted that the ministry deems it necessary to provide Balungu community as well as Domoltindongo, a community in the Nabdam district with a borehole because of the water crisis in this areas.

She added it is also a birthday gift to these communities by the President of the Eastwood Anaba Ministry, Reverend Eastwood Anaba to the people of Balungu and Domoltindongo.

She said “The President of Eastwood Anaba Ministries Reverend Eastwood Anaba and our Vice President Reverend Mrs. Rosemond Anaba they have been touched to come and present to the community of Balungu a borehole to help aid the water situation in this community.”

She added, “The beauty of this borehole is that, it is a birthday present from the President of Eastwood Anaba Ministries Reverend Eastwood Anaba, his birthday official is on Mondbringsth of May and he said when he bring you drinks and biscuits you will just take it less than 2 minutes and that will be it. But he wanted to give you something that will be more lasting as a birthday present so we are handing over this borehole official to Balungu community as a memory of the President 61st birthday celebration”

Mrs. Wallace also admonished residents of Balungu and Domoltindongo communities to make good use of the boreholes for them to last and serve their purposes to the benefit of the community members.
