The biggest problem of the Upper East Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) is the lack of funds to run the affairs of the administration which is monitoring and supervision.

The Regional Minister, Stephen Yakubu who made this revelation said the RCC for some time now lacked the needed resources to fuel its vehicles which is affecting the smooth operation of his office.

Mr. Yakubu added that there are instances that he sweats profusely in his office under the scorching sun of the region due to lack of funds of the RCC to power its office Air Conditioning.

The regional minister made the revelation when the parliamentary select committee on local government paid a visit to him in his office.

Mr. Yakubu posited that it not about the number of MPs that a ruling party has in a region that will yield development but rather how the regional minister and the members of parliament can work together to bring development to the region.

He tasked the members of parliament to raise issues that are affecting the region on the floor of parliament to draw the needed development to the region.
